Szczecin And Swinoujscie Seaports Authority S.A., Maritime Academy in Szczecin and The Szczecin University cordially invite to The 6th International Academic Sea Ports Conference under the banner of
EU Program - "Motorways of the Sea" as a chance for development of cargo streams between The Baltic Sea and The North Sea.
The Conference is being organized within the PORT-NET project.
THE GOAL OF THE CONFERENCE
The goal of the Conference is to discuss - in the circle of Polish and EU experts - the EU concept "from road to sea", possibilities of development of sea connections between ports within the Baltic Sea and the North Sea basins and defining effective actions for their establishment.
TIME AND PLACE OF THE CONFERENCE
The Conference will take place in the Concerto Hall I-II-III of the Radisson SAS Hotel in Szczecin on the 31st May 2006. It will commence at 10:00 hours. On the 1st June 2006, within the EU PORT-NET project, there will be workshops on the subject of "Cargo movement in the frame of feeder services, ferry shipping and short sea shipping in the Baltic and the North Seas region" open for project partners as well as for the participants of the Conference. Participation in the workshops is free of charge. The participants will cover costs of their stay at the Radisson SAS Hotel amounting 240,00 PLN for a single room or 280,00 PLN for a double room. Reservations must be made with the Conference Bureau.
LANGUAGE OF THE CONFERENCE
The official language of the Conference is Polish. However, due to presence of guests from EU countries, the discussions will be conducted with simultaneous translation.
